Breaking: Ondo SSG Resigns
The Secretary to the State Government of Ondo state (SSG), Mr. Ifedayo Abegunde, has resigned his position.
In a letter dated June 6, 2020 and addressed to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, Abegunde, who did not state reason for his resignation, said it takes immediate effect.

His resignation may not be unconnected with the political crisis in the state which has pitted the Governor against some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), opposed to his re-election.
The Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, had earlier defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on the platform he has indicated his interest to contest the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state. Ajayi has refused to resign after his defection.
Akeredolu is currently in isolation after testing positive for coronavirus.
