Assault: Police Detain Abbo
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has detained the Senator representing Adamawa north, Elisha Abbo and has commenced investigation into the assault case involving the embattled senator.
According to the FCT Police Commissioner, Bala Ciroma, Abbo on Thursday honoured the invitation the command extended to him and will remain in detention pending the investigation into the case.
Abbo got into trouble when a video of him assaulting a young mother at a sex toy shop in Abuja went viral on social media.
The Senator had in an emotional press on Wednesday apologized for his conduct following outrage over the incident.
