Man Escapes with Friend’s Motorcycle from Abuja Drinking Joint
A surprising incident unfolded in Paso community, located in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), when a man reportedly absconded with his friend’s motorcycle. The incident occurred at a local drinking joint around 9 PM on Sunday.
According to Emmanuel Musa, a local resident, the victim, known only as Zakka, had been drinking wine when his friend joined him. After about 20 minutes, Zakka fell asleep, and his friend seized the opportunity to take the motorcycle’s key and escape with the vehicle.
“Some people who were drinking at the joint saw them together. After about 20 minutes, the man reportedly took away the motorcycle and left,” Musa recounted. He further speculated that the suspect might have added a substance to Zakka’s drink, causing him to doze off.
Local vigilante groups are currently on the lookout for the suspect. Meanwhile, SP Adeh Josephine, the spokeswoman for the FCT Police Command, has yet to comment on the incident.
