FCT Police Raid Bandits’ Hideout, Retrieve Weapons, Livestock

The FCT Police Command conducted a successful raid on a kidnappers’ hideout located in Jibi forest near Dei-dei Abuja. The operation took place early in the morning on March 23, 2024.

Upon the arrival of police officers, the bandits fled the scene to avoid arrest. This operation was prompted by reliable information indicating the presence of Mallam Danyaboi and Ilu, known associates of Nasiru Mohammed, alias “Danger,” who was recently apprehended in connection with several kidnappings in the FCT.

The raid foiled plans for a retaliatory kidnapping attack in Zuba and surrounding areas. Firearms and livestock were seized as evidence from the hideout, highlighting the success of the operation.

Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, assures residents of continued efforts to maintain safety and security in the region. He urges residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities promptly. Additionally, intensive patrols are being conducted to prevent further criminal activities.
