Veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Adeshina, widely known by his stage name Elegbeje Ado, has died after a brief illness.

The respected Nollywood actor passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026.

News of his death was made public on Tuesday by fellow actor Kunle Afod in an Instagram post. Afod paid tribute to the late actor, describing him as one of the legends of Yoruba cinema whose performances left a lasting mark on the industry.
