Arowosaye Congratulates Makinde on Supreme Court’s Victory
A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ) in Oyo state, Prince Saheed Arowosaye has congratulated the governor of Oyo state, Engr. Seyi Makinde on his victory at the Supreme Court.
Arowosaye, who was recently confirmed as the Caretaker Chairman-Designate for Oyo East Local Government by the state Assembly, in a statement issued on Thursday in Oyo town said that Makinde’s victory was an affirmation of the overwhelming decision of the people of the state, who had elected him to steer the state to greater heights at the March 6 Governorship election after 8 years of misrule by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“The good people of Oyo state who have suffered long years of lack of direction and lack of progress in the hands of the All Progressives Congress (APC) decided that enough is enough and voted overwhelmingly for the more competent and caring governor Seyi Makinde to lead the state to a better future.
“Wednesday’s verdict by the apex court ensured that the decision of the people of Oyo stands and they got the governor they happily voted for. The mood in the state right now after the judgement is a testament to that fact. I commend the Supreme Court Justices for their courage and conviction in the doing what is right” the statement said.
Arowosaye commended the governor for his sterling leadership qualities and giant strides since coming into office. He said Makinde is passionate and dedicated towards uplifting the lives of the people and building a prosperous future for the state. He urged the people of the state to continue to support the governor and his administration.
