18-Year-Old Arrested for Mutilating Husband’s Genitals During Domestic Dispute

An 18-year-old woman has been arrested by the Yobe State Police Command for allegedly attacking her husband with a sharp object, resulting in severe genital injuries during a domestic dispute in Potiskum Local Government Area.

According to Dungus Abdulkarim, the state police spokesperson, officers responded to a distress call on February 6, finding the man critically injured and lying in a pool of blood inside his home. He was initially treated at a local clinic before being referred to Azare Medical Centre for further care.

Abdulkarim said the suspect fled the scene but was located and taken into custody on Monday. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances that led to the attack.

The victim has identified his wife as the assailant but has not provided a full statement due to the seriousness of his injuries. The police have assured that updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
