“You no get sense” — Daddy Freeze reacts to Yul Edochie’s comment on Roby Ekpo’s marital crisis
Media personality Daddy Freeze has responded sharply to actor Yul Edochie over his remarks on broadcaster Roby Ekpo’s emotional reaction to his failed marriage.
The controversy began after Roby Ekpo appeared on a podcast where he spoke openly about the collapse of his marriage and became visibly emotional during the conversation. The moment sparked reactions online, with some users criticising him for crying publicly.
Reacting on X, Yul Edochie faulted the broadcaster’s emotional display, arguing that men should not cry over relationship issues. He acknowledged that it is acceptable to speak about personal pain, but insisted that a man should instead “move on” quickly. In his post, he also suggested that such a man should consider marrying multiple women and having children with them at the same time.
Daddy Freeze, in a video shared online, pushed back against Yul’s position, questioning the logic behind his statement and the reactions it has generated.
He criticised the idea that emotional expression makes a man weak, and also challenged the suggestion of multiple simultaneous marriages as a solution to heartbreak.
Responding directly to Yul’s comment, he said:
“**This Yul sef, e nor be like say you too get sense like that.**”
He also addressed the wider online reactions mocking Roby Ekpo for crying, describing them as unfair and lacking understanding of emotional experiences.
The exchange has continued to generate debate online, with users divided over masculinity, emotional expression, and Yul Edochie’s controversial take on relationships.
