‘You Can’t Defect Twice’, APC Reacts to Obaseki’s Defection
The All Progressives Congress (APC), has reacted to defection of Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki, to the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, said they were not surprised as he was deemed to have defected already after he resigned his membership of the APC earlier in the week.
“It has not come to us as a surprise. We knew he had defected long ago because he resigned his membership of the party which we have accepted.
“So you can’t defect twice. So if he is defecting again, we don’t know whether what he has just done now is news any longer” he said.
The Governor today formally declared for the PDP ahead of Tuesday’s gubernatorial primary of the party.
