‘You are Very Inconsequential’ in Nigerian Politics Today,” PDP Tackles Kwankwaso

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has sharply criticized former Kano Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, describing him as “inconsequential” in contemporary Nigerian politics. This statement follows Kwankwaso’s recent comments branding the PDP as a “dead party” during the inauguration of a new NNPP office in Katsina State.

Kwankwaso, who led the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 presidential election, claimed that the PDP’s relevance ceased after his departure. He also expressed confidence in winning the 2027 presidential election on the NNPP platform.

Ologunagba highlighted that while Kwankwaso’s NNPP struggles to gain traction, the PDP remains a significant force with 13 governors, numerous senators, and a broad presence across various levels of government.

Ologunagba further criticized Kwankwaso for his perceived self-centeredness, arguing that his focus on personal ambitions is misplaced given the pressing economic crises, including severe inflation and rising fuel prices. He concluded that Kwankwaso’s political relevance was primarily tied to his tenure with the PDP.
