Woman Who Gave False Testimony About N300 Million Mansion at Zion Prayer Movement Arrested by Police
Loveth Alo, the woman who falsely claimed to have purchased a N300 million mansion during a testimony at Zion Prayer Movement Church, has been arrested by the Nigerian police. Her arrest comes after real estate firm Roboconsult exposed her deception, confirming that no such sale had taken place.
The controversy began when Loveth testified at the church led by self-proclaimed Prophet Ebuka Obi, claiming she had miraculously acquired the expensive property. However, an investigation by Roboconsult revealed that she had no ownership of the mansion. A video obtained by SaharaReporters showed Loveth inspecting the property under the pretense of assisting a prospective buyer. Unbeknownst to the real estate agents, she recorded a separate video inside the house, falsely claiming she had already paid N200 million and would complete the balance in installments.
When confronted with the evidence, Loveth admitted to the false testimony, stating, “We are in the process of buying the house. I have inspected everything, but it is not mine yet.” Despite this admission, her claims had already gone viral, misleading many into believing she had received the mansion through divine intervention.
Following the revelation, Roboconsult’s legal counsel, Barrister C.P. Ogdo, confirmed that the property remains unsold and belongs to their client. “The house has not been sold, contrary to her statements. The woman in question is now in police custody and will be prosecuted accordingly. Those involved in misleading the public will also face legal action,” he stated.
Roboconsult later released a disclaimer, labeling Loveth’s testimony as “fraudulent and misleading.” The company reiterated that the property is still on the market and urged the public to disregard her claims.
Loveth’s arrest has intensified scrutiny on Prophet Ebuka Obi, who has previously been accused of orchestrating staged miracles. In 2023, he was linked to a similar controversy involving late veteran actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu. Obi had claimed to have healed Okafor, who later passed away in March 2024 after a prolonged illness.
Police authorities have assured that Loveth Alo will be charged accordingly as investigations continue.
