Woman Slumps, Dies in Popular Hotel Shower
A tragic incident occurred in Ado-Ekiti as a woman collapsed and died in the bathroom of a high-end hotel located on NTA Road, adjacent to a private radio station. The hotel is reportedly owned by a well-known politician in the state.
Sources at the scene confirmed that the woman, whose identity is being withheld, was a staff member of the hotel. According to eyewitnesses, she appeared healthy and showed no signs of illness when she resumed work that day. She was rushed to a nearby hospital immediately after the incident but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Ekiti State Police Command has confirmed the incident. Speaking with the press, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sunday Abutu, said an investigation has commenced. He noted that some hotel staff would be invited for questioning to help determine the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death. An autopsy has also been scheduled as part of efforts to uncover the cause of death.
