“Wike Has Never Won an Election by Popular Vote, He’s a Destroyer” – PDP Chieftain Ewoh

In a recent interview with Symfoni, a prominent Rivers State chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nnam Robinson Ewoh, has launched a scathing attack on Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former governor of the state. Ewoh accused Wike of never having won an election based on popular votes, labeling him a “destroyer” of the PDP.

The former lawmaker’s remarks have sparked widespread attention, particularly through a viral video of the interview. Ewoh claimed Wike’s political victories were often achieved through violence and manipulation, rather than legitimate support from the electorate.

“Wike, from history, is a destroyer. He has destroyed the PDP and everyone he supported,” Ewoh stated, asserting that Wike has been a detrimental force within the party and Rivers State politics.

Despite the ongoing rift between Wike and the incumbent governor, Siminalayi Fubara, Ewoh expressed confidence that Governor Fubara would secure a second term in 2027. He dismissed Wike’s influence, saying, “Wike has a single vote, and that cannot make the governor lose the election.”

The PDP chieftain further warned President Bola Tinubu to be cautious in his dealings with Wike, suggesting that the minister could eventually turn against him. According to Ewoh, Wike’s presence in the party has coincided with a period of decline for the PDP, and his involvement in national politics should be approached with caution.
