Why I’m Not at Davido’s White Wedding – Cubana Chief Priest Replies Trolls

Nigerian socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has explained his absence from singer Davido’s white wedding in Miami, USA, after facing criticism from online trolls. The celebrity barman revealed that he was unable to attend the lavish ceremony because his US visa application was denied.

In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Chief Priest said he woke up with “mixed feelings,” feeling both joy for his close friend’s special day and sadness at being unable to witness it in person. He described the setback as a humbling reminder that, regardless of one’s wealth or influence, some situations remain beyond control.

He thanked those mocking him, saying their jibes have motivated him to reapply for a US visa, and made a public appeal to the US Embassy in Nigeria to grant him entry in the future. “Delay is never denial,” he wrote, expressing hope that he would soon be able to travel to America.

While extending warm wishes to Davido and his bride Chioma for a blissful marriage, Chief Priest noted that his wife and family were in Miami to represent him, adding that he was present “in body and spirit.” He ended his message by once again pleading with US authorities to grant him access to “the greatest country in the world,” admitting, “This pain is really paining.”
