“We Will Reposition APGA and Ensure It Leads in All States,” Vows Edozie Njoku

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Edozie Njoku, has pledged to revitalize the party’s presence across Nigeria, despite ongoing challenges. Njoku, who has been officially recognized as the authentic National Chairman by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), remains undeterred by resistance from the Anambra State government, led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

Addressing the press in Abuja on Wednesday, Njoku expressed gratitude to the judiciary for its role in strengthening internal democracy within political parties. He acknowledged INEC’s recent decision to recognize his leadership, which he believes will pave the way for a more united and effective APGA.

Njoku highlighted the efforts of the National Working Committee (NWC) and the Peace and Reconciliation Committee, which have toured 22 states in just one month, mobilizing party members and encouraging them to align with the renewed vision of APGA.

He also addressed the challenges faced by APGA members in Anambra State, particularly their exclusion from a stakeholders’ meeting organized by the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC). Njoku criticized the recent amendments to ANSIEC’s governing laws, which he claims are designed to prevent APGA from fielding legitimate candidates in the upcoming Local Government elections.

In his remarks, Njoku apologized to APGA members in Ebonyi State and other regions where the party’s performance in recent elections was lacking. He assured members that the current leadership is committed to ensuring APGA’s presence in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Njoku concluded by urging patience and unity among party members, emphasizing that the repositioning of APGA will require hard work and dedication. He vowed to reenergize the party at the grassroots level, ensuring that APGA becomes a formidable force in Nigeria’s political landscape.
