In a released statement by the Chairman, People’s Democratic Party Lagos State Chapter, Engr Adedeji Doherty after series of reconciliation meetings with leaders of the party and ultimately with former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, the Chairman said the PDP in Lagos State and in the SouthWest remains resolute.
The Chairman hinged on the need for all and sundry to be United and humble in the bid to take the party to it’s pride of place.
He said “The misunderstanding among members rocking our party PDP will surely come to an end sooner than later.”
“Rancors are bound to happen in a political setting , that is Democracy , but how we are able to manage it, is what matters.”
He further said “I had a stakeholders meeting with some party leaders on Tuesday where we discussed at length on how to resolve the lingering matters at hand.”
“Later, on the same day, the national reconciliation committee led by Senator Bukola Saraki had a meeting with the party leadership in Lagos where we had frank deliberation on both sides.”
He reiterated that “In continuation of the reconciliation process, I hereby promise our party faithfuls that my humble self and the entire Exco will continue to persuade our people and explore ways by which we could stay United as a party.”
“We would take this opportunity to thank the Leaders and Members for participating in this noble exercise.
Our sincere thanks also goes to the Sen Bukola Saraki led Reconciliation Committee and the National Working Committee led by Prince Uche Secondus for taking the bold step of putting this Honorable Team together.”
He however advised party faithfuls saying “All we need to do , is to humble ourselves and get ready to submit ourselves to the party and the Party’s Constitution.”
