Uzodimma Visits Otti, Calls for Stronger South-East Cooperation
Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and his wife, Chioma, on Wednesday paid a New Year visit to Abia State Governor Alex Otti, where both leaders discussed regional cooperation and development in the South-East.
The meeting, held in Abia, focused on collaboration among the South-East states despite differences in party affiliation. Uzodimma, who chairs the South-East Governors’ Forum, said the region’s progress depends on trust, shared priorities, and regular engagement among its leaders.
He commended Otti’s administration in Abia and reaffirmed the commitment of the five South-East governors to work together to improve welfare, security, and economic opportunities across the region.
Both governors dismissed suggestions of political motives behind the visit, describing it as part of broader efforts to strengthen regional integration and ensure the South-East plays an active role in national development.
