“Treat Church Miracle Testimonies as Fake Unless Verified” – Fr. Kelvin Ugwu
Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, a Catholic missionary priest based in Gambia, has urged the public to approach church miracle testimonies with skepticism unless they are independently verified. His comments come in response to a surge of viral videos featuring dramatic testimonies from church members.
One such video shows an elderly woman claiming that she was attacked by four armed robbers in a dream but managed to take control of their weapons and ensure the arrest of three of them. Another video features a man who alleges he survived a kidnapping, machete attacks, and gunshot wounds without sustaining any injuries.
Fr. Ugwu’s cautionary statement, posted on his Facebook page, advises people to regard these testimonies as potentially fraudulent unless confirmed through independent verification.
