Tragedy as Nigerian Woman Dies After Allegedly Being Poisoned by Friend

A young Nigerian woman, Okoh Jessica Esther Uchechi, has reportedly died after revealing that she was allegedly poisoned by a friend. News of her passing has stirred emotions on social media, where friends and acquaintances have expressed their shock and grief.

The heartbreaking revelation was made by a Facebook user, Nenye Uzowulu, on Friday, May 30, 2025. In her post, Nenye recounted that she had reached out to Jessica after noticing her prolonged absence from social media. When they finally spoke, Jessica confided in her that she had been poisoned by someone she considered a friend. Despite the gravity of the situation, Jessica had sounded optimistic, assuring Nenye that she was recovering and even offered advice about being cautious in friendships.

“She was the one advising me to learn from her experience,” Nenye wrote. “She warned me to be careful because she saw things happening behind the scenes.”

According to Nenye, Jessica’s cousin also believed she was on the path to recovery. However, her condition suddenly worsened, and she was later found dead in her room. The suddenness of her death has left friends devastated and seeking answers.

Nenye ended her emotional post with a plea for Jessica to somehow return and debunk the news. “Jessy bikonu return if possible. Wake up and debunk this rumour. I know you can Jessy,” she wrote.
