Tinubu’s Camp Knows Wike Cannot Be Trusted With Power – Dele Momodu
Former presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dele Momodu, has leveled accusations of disloyalty against Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State. Momodu asserts that despite Wike’s position as the FCT minister under President Bola Tinubu’s administration, Tinubu’s camp remains distrustful of him.
Wike’s support for Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2023 presidential election stemmed from a disagreement within the PDP leadership over the nomination of Atiku Abubakar, a candidate from the northern region.
Despite his alignment with the APC, Wike retains his position as a member of the PDP and has not faced official reprimand from the party, despite calls for such action.
Momodu, a renowned publisher, has criticized Wike for his actions, accusing him of undermining the PDP’s integrity and potentially causing harm to the party’s interests.
