“The Same Mouth That Planned to Announce My Seat Vacant Announced My Celebration” — Natasha Akpoti Taunts Enemies After Akpabio Read Her Invitation Letter
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan took to social media on Thursday night to taunt her ‘enemies’ just hours after Senate President Godswill Akpabio read her letter inviting him and other senators to her 2nd-year anniversary celebration in office.
During plenary on October 30, Akpabio read out Natasha’s letter announcing plans for the celebration. The moment surprised many Nigerians, given the frosty relationship between both lawmakers. The pair had previously clashed over seating arrangements in February, with the disagreement even leading to a court case. Some Nigerians had assumed that the public reading of the letter signified a truce between them.
However, later that evening, Senator Natasha posted a clip of Akpabio reading the letter and used the opportunity to shade her detractors. In her Instagram post, she wrote, “The same mouth that planned to announce my seat vacant announced my celebration. God is great.”
In a lighthearted exchange in the comments, a follower urged her not to “remove her leg,” a local expression meaning not to relent against one’s critics. Natasha humorously replied, “At all. I kuku get big feet,” accompanied by laughing emojis.
Her post quickly drew reactions online, with many commending her confidence and sense of humor in the face of past political tensions.
