Supreme Court Judges Should Undertake a 3-Day Fast and Prayer for Resolution of Tinubu’s Certificate Controversy – Shehu Sani
The contentious issue of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s certificate, former lawmaker Shehu Sani has called upon the judges of the Supreme Court to engage in fervent prayer to seek divine guidance.
The Supreme Court disclosed on Monday that it had received conflicting letters from Chicago State University (CSU) regarding the authenticity of Tinubu’s certificate. Justice John Okoro, the chairman of the seven-member panel responsible for hearing Atiku Abubakar’s application against President Bola Tinubu’s victory, made this revelation during the proceedings.
Justice Okoro highlighted the necessity of proving criminal matters beyond reasonable doubt. However, he raised the critical question of which CSU letter to rely on, as one authenticated the president’s certificate while another discredited it.
Responding to this perplexing situation, Shehu Sani, who previously served as the Senator representing Kaduna Central, suggested a spiritual approach. He advocated for the Supreme Court judges to engage in a three-day fasting period, believing that on the third day, divine intervention would reveal the genuine certificate through a dream. Sani emphasized the prayerful nature of the nation in his statement.
