Tinubu Appoints New CEO for Energy Commission of Nigeria
President Bola Tinubu has given his approval to the appointment of Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha as the new Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN).
The announcement was made through a statement released by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale. In this statement, it was emphasized that President Tinubu has high expectations for Dr. Mustapha’s leadership and anticipates a positive impact on his administration’s ambitious efforts to diversify the nation’s energy sources. This diversification is a crucial step towards the industrialization of all regions of Nigeria.
Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha brings with him a wealth of experience in the energy and space technology sectors, having served for over a decade in the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). His extensive background in these industries positions him well to steer the Energy Commission of Nigeria towards achieving its goals and contributing to the nation’s energy sector development.
