Southwest PDP Leaders Unite for Victory in Ondo Governorship Election

In a bid to ensure success in the upcoming governorship election in Ondo State, leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Southwest have joined forces, putting aside their differences for a common goal. The decision was reached during a crucial meeting held yesterday at the Presidential Lodge of the Oyo State Government House, Agodi, Ibadan.

Key figures present at the meeting included Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo and Ademola Adeleke of Osun, alongside prominent party members such as Chief Bode George, National Deputy Chairman (South) Ambassador Taofeeq Arapaja, former Governors Dr Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo and Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola of Osun, former governorship candidate Eyitayo Jegede of Ondo, and 2023 Ogun State governorship candidate Oladipupo Adebutu, among others.

The primary agenda of the gathering was to deliberate on the party’s progress and devise strategies to foster unity among stakeholders ahead of the November election. Governor Makinde emphasized the importance of unity, a sentiment echoed by his counterpart from Osun, Governor Adeleke.

Expressing gratitude for the solidarity shown by the party leaders, the PDP’s gubernatorial candidate for the election, Agboola Ajayi, expressed confidence that their unwavering support would pave the way for his victory.
