Senator Seriake Dickson Joins Newly Registered NDC, Leaves PDP
Senator Seriake Dickson, representing Bayelsa West, has officially left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the newly registered Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
The former Bayelsa State Governor made the announcement during a media briefing in Abuja on Thursday.
Dickson cited deep divisions within the PDP, saying the party’s internal conflicts have weakened its structure and diminished its influence on national matters. He described the ongoing leadership struggles as having rendered the party ineffective.
He expressed confidence in the NDC, recently recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission, as a platform for meaningful opposition. Dickson encouraged Nigerians to engage with and register under the new party to contribute to national progress.
