Senator Dino Melaye Refutes Withdrawal from Gubernatorial Contest in Kogi State
The Dino/Deen gubernatorial campaign council issued a press statement today addressing the recent circulation of a bulk SMS alleging Senator Dino Melaye’s withdrawal from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidacy due to purported loss of confidence in the electoral process.
Dismissing the SMS as “watery propaganda,” the council urged the people of Kogi State to disregard the fake news, attributing it to those who have faced rejection within the state.
Amidst reported attempts by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Yahaya Bello to manipulate the electoral process, the campaign council affirmed Senator Dino Melaye’s confidence in securing victory.
Barr. Omoyemi Gold Olumudi, the spokesperson for the Dino/Deen Campaign Council, emphasized the call for vigilance among Kogi State electorates, encouraging them to resist any form of intimidation or electoral interference orchestrated by the APC.
