Presidential Election: Court Gives One Week Adjournment To Enable Parties Finalize Documents
The Presidential Election Petition Court has adjourned till May 17 2023, pre-hearing of the petition by the Labour Party and Peter Obi against INEC, and President and Vice-president elect Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shetima
The adjournment was at the instance of the parties whose legal representatives told the court there are a number of outstanding applications to be filed and that they have unanimously decided to take one week to finalize the filing and exchange of documents
The documents include motions they intend to tender before the court.
The court agreed with the position of the lead counsel, saying it will help fast track the hearing of the case
Presiding Justice Haruma Tsanani also directed that apart from filing and exchange of processes, the parties should draw up the issues for determination ahead of the next Wednesday hearing date
