Popular Hotelier Assassinated, Police Launch Manhunt
The Ondo State Police Command has begun a full-scale investigation into the killing of prominent hotelier and socialite, Adesoji Johnson Adeleye, Chief Executive Officer of Klass Five Hotel in Akure.
Adeleye was reportedly murdered in the early hours of Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at his hotel located in the Arakale area of the state capital. Sources revealed that he had spent the night in one of the rooms within the hotel premises but was later found stabbed multiple times by unidentified attackers.
His remains have been deposited at the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital morgue in Akure by police operatives.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, stated that a team of detectives has been dispatched to the crime scene and efforts are ongoing to track down those responsible. He added that the case has been transferred to the State Police Headquarters for a thorough investigation and assured the public that justice will be served.
