Police Release Name of Teenager Stabbed to Death in London

In a shocking incident on New Year’s Eve, a 16-year-old boy named Harry Pitman lost his life after being fatally stabbed on Primrose Hill, Camden, North London. Detectives from the Metropolitan Police have identified the victim and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.

The attack occurred around 23:40hrs on Sunday, 31 December, with officers providing first aid to Pitman before paramedics arrived. Despite the immediate response from emergency services, the young boy succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the scene shortly before midnight.

A 16-year-old suspect was swiftly apprehended at the crime scene on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at a north London police station.

Detective Chief Inspector Geoff Grogan, leading the investigation from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, expressed condolences to Harry’s family and friends, emphasizing that the victim had his whole life ahead of him. It is here where we believe Harry became involved in an altercation with devastating consequences. Primrose Hill was very busy at the time, and I believe there are people who witnessed the incident who have not yet spoken to police.”
