Police Recover 56 Missing Cattle in Abia State Community

The Abia State Police Command has successfully recovered 56 of the 65 cattle reported missing following a violent attack in Umunneochi and Isuikwuato local government areas. This recovery was made possible through the collaborative efforts of local guards from Seriki Hausa.

In response to the alarming incident, which left one person injured and a significant number of cattle missing, Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, conducted an on-the-spot assessment at the Lokpanta cattle market and Eziama Nunya community. During his visit, he expressed his condolences to the affected community members and reaffirmed the police’s commitment to ensuring justice for the victims.

CP Isa urged residents to remain calm and to avoid taking matters into their own hands while assuring them of the police’s dedication to tracking down the assailants responsible for the attack.

A statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Maureen Chinaka, highlighted the ongoing operations aimed at recovering the remaining cattle and apprehending the perpetrators.
