Abia Man Arrested for Stabbing Brother to Death During Dispute
A 35-year-old man, Nwogu Nnamdi, has been arrested by the Abia State Police Command for allegedly stabbing his brother to death over a disagreement.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, announced the arrest during a press briefing at the command headquarters in Umuahia on Friday, September 19, 2025. According to the police, the incident occurred on July 29, 2025, around 7:30 p.m., when Nnamdi reportedly stabbed his brother, John Nwachukwu, in the stomach at their home on Nwagbara Street, Umuikpo, Aba.
The victim was taken to Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH) in Aba, where he was pronounced dead. The suspect is currently in police custody, and investigations are ongoing at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
