Police Arrest Two Men Posing as Beautiful Female Masseuses to Rob Clients During Massage Sessions
Detectives in Kasarani, Kenya have arrested two men accused of luring unsuspecting clients with fake online adverts for massage services, only to rob them at knifepoint. The suspects, identified as Alex Mugo Wachira and Simon Chomba Mbogo, allegedly posed as “stunning” female masseuses offering high-end massage experiences, according to a statement from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) released Thursday, April 17, 2025.
Authorities say the two men used seductive online profiles to draw in victims, promising professional massage sessions. But instead of soothing oils and soft music, victims were met with knives and threats. In one reported incident, a man seeking a relaxing massage responded to the duo’s online ad and visited a supposed spa location along Lumumba Drive in Kasarani. Shortly after the session began, the men revealed their true identities, brandished knives, and forced the victim to transfer Sh280,000 via mobile money before robbing him of his belongings and throwing him out.
Following the report, detectives launched an investigation and used forensic leads to track down the suspects. They were found enjoying themselves at a popular hangout in the Kamiti prison area, allegedly using stolen money.
The suspects are currently in custody and will be arraigned in court once investigations are complete.
