Police Arrest Man for Allegedly Pushing Brother to Death in Lagos
In a tragic incident late Friday night in Iba, Lagos, a 47-year-old man lost his life after an altercation with his elder brother. The confrontation, which took place around 11:00 pm at their residence in Iba New Site, ended in tragedy when the elder brother, Ayodeji Busari, allegedly pushed the victim, causing him to fall and hit his head on a pavement.
The deceased, who had traveled from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to visit a friend, became involved in the argument with Busari. The impact of the fall rendered him unconscious. Despite being rushed to Igando General Hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police have confirmed that photographs of the deceased were taken at the hospital, and his body has been transferred to the Mainland General Hospital mortuary in Yaba for an autopsy. Authorities have visited the crime scene, and Busari is currently in police custody. The case has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba for further investigation.
