Photos: Turaki-Led PDP Faction Convenes Emergency BoT Meeting After Appeal Court Ruling
The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Taminu Turaki convened an emergency meeting of its Board of Trustees (BoT) on Tuesday as the party grapples with an internal leadership dispute.
The meeting, chaired by Adolphus Wabara, follows a recent ruling by the Court of Appeal that nullified the party’s November national convention.
Taminu Turaki and members of the current National Working Committee (NWC) emerged from that convention, which is now at the centre of the legal challenge affecting the party’s leadership structure.
Among those present at the meeting is Bala Mohammed, governor of Bauchi State and the only PDP governor from northern Nigeria.
The BoT session comes as the party considers its next steps following the appellate court decision.
