Pastor Jerry Eze Emerges Nigeria’s Highest-Paid YouTuber for Second Year

Popular Nigerian preacher and founder of Streams of Joy International, Pastor Jerry Eze, has been ranked the country’s highest-earning YouTuber for the second consecutive year, according to figures released by Playboard, a global YouTube analytics platform. The convener of the widely followed New Season Prophetic Prayers & Declaration (NSPPD) has reportedly earned over ₦7 billion from his YouTube channel since it launched in November 2019, with most of the revenue generated through Super Chats, a YouTube feature that allows viewers to pay for highlighted messages during live prayer sessions.

Data shows that Eze’s channel averages about ₦7 million in daily earnings, with July 2023 marking his peak single-day revenue of roughly ₦21 million. In July 2024 alone, the channel grossed an estimated ₦261 million, highlighting the enormous reach and consistent loyalty of his global audience. His channel currently boasts more than 2.1 million subscribers and attracts over one million daily views, with one week of NSPPD broadcasts pulling nearly 30 million views across platforms.

The report places him ahead of other major Nigerian ministries with strong online presence, including Apostle Johnson Suleman’s CelebrationTV, Rev. Sam Oye, Paul S. Joshua, and the Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, none of which have matched his revenue figures or engagement levels. Before going into full-time ministry, Pastor Eze worked as a Communications Specialist with the World Bank. He holds a degree in International Relations from Abia State University and a postgraduate certificate in Business Administration from Enugu State University of Technology. Since founding Streams of Joy International in 2013, his ministry has grown into one of Nigeria’s most influential platforms, and his dominance on YouTube underscores how digital evangelism is reshaping both the faith and media landscape.
