Obi didn’t give us anything. If it was Tinubu we met, he would have given us something” – Portable Laments After Meeting Peter Obi
Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has voiced his dissatisfaction following a recent meeting with Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate and former Governor of Anambra State.
During their encounter in Benin City, Edo State, the two exchanged pleasantries, which was captured in a now-viral video. In the footage, Portable can be heard expressing his frustration that Obi did not provide him with any financial support.
Portable’s remarks were candid and direct, as he contrasted Obi with President Bola Tinubu. According to Portable, if President Tinubu had been present, he would have offered him something. The singer’s comments reflect his disappointment, as he stated, “Obi cannot give us anything. Obi didn’t give us anything. If it was Tinubu we met, he would have given us something. Let’s go.”
