“Nothing in This World Is Hidden Under the Sun” – SASA Spokesperson Following Arrest of Killers of Kidnapped Anambra Lawmaker
Operatives from the Special Anti-Smuggling Agency (SASA), working with a combined security team from Abuja, have successfully arrested the kidnappers and murderers of Hon. Justice Azuka, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly.
The operation, which took place late last night, resulted in the capture of the suspects, who then led security teams to the location where they had dumped Hon. Azuka’s body near the 2nd Niger Bridge. The lawmaker had been kidnapped on December 24, 2024, while traveling along Ugwunabakpa Road in Inland Town, Onitsha. His death has deeply saddened Anambra State, drawing attention to the region’s ongoing security issues.
SASA spokesperson Ambassador Karen James expressed satisfaction with the operation, saying, “Nothing in this world is hidden under the sun. Kudos to our men for their job well done.”
The successful operation has been met with praise from residents, who are relieved that the perpetrators have been caught, even though the community continues to mourn the loss of Hon. Azuka.
The incident has sparked renewed calls for stronger security measures, particularly for public officials in Anambra. With the arrests made, there is hope that justice will be served.
May Hon. Justice Azuka’s soul rest in peace.
