Some members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State under the aegis “Non-indigenes Association” have commended the out going State Chairman of the party, Engr Adedeji Doherty for his outstanding qualities and his all embracing and exemplary style of leadership.
The group in a statement signed by Chief Mrs Kate Onyechere, extolled Engr Doherty as a man whose words are his bond, calling him the “People’s Chairman.”
She said he made a promise when leaving office as the State Chairman, that going forward in the party, non-indigenes would henceforth be involved in the scheme of things.
She confirmed that from results of the last Ward Congresses across all local government areas in the state, the out-going chairman’s promise was evidently manifested.
Her statement read: “On behalf of the leadership and entire members of the PDP Non-indigenes Association, Lagos, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the peoples Chairman of PDP Lagos State, Engr. Deji Doherty.”
She stated further that “You have indeed kept your promise to ensure that Non-indigenes are included in the Ward adminstration of the Party as clearly seen in today’s Ward Congress across the State.”
“From so many Local Government Councils, we have been inundated with calls from Non-indigenes to commend our leadership engagement which secured today’s Ward successes for our people, she said.
She reiterated that “this would not have been possible without your State wide leadership strategy of accommodating all.”
While praying for the success of Engr Doherty in all his future endeavours, Chief Onyechere congratulated all newly elected non-indigenes in the various wards and implored them to work assiduously towards being elected for more service in future.
