Man tied up for owing N4.6m rescued by Police
A man identified as Oluchi Okoye has been arrested for tying up his debtor also identified as Rueben Alozie for owing an amount of N4.6m.
The victim was tied to sticks at his residence at 29, Abeokuta Street, Ebute Metta with ropes for about 24hours.
Alozie’s wife had consequently lodged a complaint about the incident at the Denton Police Station in Ebute Metta area of Lagos State.
Oluchi was subsequently arrested and in a video that has since gone viral, Oluchi said he did what he did because he had made several attempts to recover the debt, but to no avail.
The Spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu confirmed the incident, he described the incident as Man’s inhumanity to Man.
He however warned the public on taking laws into their hands, he advised on the need to take legal actions to seek Justice.
