Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen Wins Serie A Title With Napoli
Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has become the first Nigerian footballer to win the Serie A title.
This follows his club, Napoli’s one-all draw against Udinese and their insurmountable lead at the top of the table with 16 points, and just five games to go.
Napoli went behind in the first half, but Osimhen restored parity for the Naples-based team, which yielded the vital additional one point gap they needed to end their 33-year wait to win the Scudetto, as the Serie A title is also known.
The former Under-17 World Cup winner is set to win the League’s highest scorer award after grabbing 22 goals so far.
