Nigeria’s Plumptre Shines with Hat-Trick on Al Ittihad Debut
In a stunning debut performance, Ashleigh Plumptre, the Super Falcons defender, displayed her prowess by scoring a magnificent hat-trick as Al Ittihad triumphed over Eastern Flames with a 3-0 victory in their opening game of the season.
Plumptre wasted no time and opened the scoring for Al Ittihad with a brilliant goal just half an hour into the match. Her spectacular performance continued as she volleyed home another goal just a minute past the hour mark, extending her side’s lead.
The versatile defender exhibited her remarkable skills once again when, just five minutes later, she completed her hat-trick with a striking shot from inside the box, effectively sealing the win for Al Ittihad.
This remarkable debut performance by the Nigerian star comes after she joined Al Ittihad on a free transfer during the summer, having previously been part of the ranks at Leicester City. Plumptre’s exceptional skills and stunning hat-trick will undoubtedly make her a player to watch in the upcoming season.
