Tinubu Honours Super Falcons with OON, $100,000 Each and Abuja Homes
President Bola Tinubu has conferred national honours on the Super Falcons and their technical crew in recognition of their exceptional performance on the global stage. Each player was awarded the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), one of the country’s highest national honours.
As part of the reward package, Tinubu also approved a cash gift of the naira equivalent of \$100,000 for each of the 24 players and \$50,000 for each member of the 11-man technical crew. Additionally, all players and crew members will receive a three-bedroom apartment in Abuja’s Renewed Hope Estate.
The honours and gifts were announced on July 28, 2025, as the President celebrated the team’s achievements and reaffirmed his administration’s support for sports development in Nigeria.
