“Never Collect Money from a Senior Man of God; You Are Reducing Your Blessing” – Pastor David Ibiyeomie
Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries has cautioned his congregation against accepting money from senior pastors, warning that doing so can diminish their blessings and hinder financial prosperity. Speaking during a sermon, Ibiyeomie emphasized that this practice is not supported by scripture and can lead to negative consequences.
He urged his members to focus on giving to senior pastors instead, stating that such actions attract divine blessings and open doors for greater success. Drawing from his personal experience, Ibiyeomie shared that he has never sought financial assistance from his spiritual mentor, Bishop David Oyedepo, even in times of difficulty.
“Never collect money from a senior man of God. You are reducing your blessing,” he said. “I’ll be the last person to collect a dime from Oyedepo, not because challenges have not come. That’s not how it works.”
He further stressed that while he is able to sow into the lives of senior ministers, asking for financial aid is not the correct approach. “Sow into the senior man to draw virtue for the next level,” he concluded.
