Netanyahu Responds to Death Rumors With Humorous Social Media Video
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted a short video on social media Tuesday, mocking online rumors that he had died, as security tensions in the region remain high amid Israel’s ongoing military operations against Iran and its allies.
In the clip, shared on his official X account, Netanyahu is seen receiving a cup of coffee at a café outside Jerusalem. “I’m dead for coffee,” he said, using a Hebrew expression to indicate strong enthusiasm.
He also addressed online speculation that a recent televised speech had been manipulated with artificial intelligence after viewers claimed he appeared to have six fingers. Holding up his hands toward the camera, Netanyahu joked: “Do you want to count the number of fingers?”
Despite the humor, Netanyahu stressed the importance of following safety instructions during rocket alerts. “You give strength to me, to the government, to the army, to the Mossad,” he said, referencing Israel’s intelligence agency.
The prime minister confirmed that Israel was conducting operations that could not yet be publicly disclosed. “We are doing things that I cannot share at this moment, but we are striking Iran very hard, and also Lebanon,” he said.
The remarks come amid escalating tensions involving Israel, the United States, and Iran, with missile exchanges and military activity fueling fears of a wider regional conflict.
Meanwhile, Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a new threat against Netanyahu. According to Iran’s state news outlet, the IRGC warned it would target the Israeli leader, labeling him a “child-killer,” if he remained alive.
