JUST IN: Netanyahu Accepts Trump’s Plan to End Gaza War

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has officially accepted a 20-point peace plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump aimed at ending the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The announcement was made during a joint press conference at the White House on Monday, September 29, 2025. Netanyahu, who had previously resisted similar proposals, expressed support for the plan, stating that it aligns with Israel’s war objectives and represents a path toward achieving a lasting resolution.

The key elements of the plan include an immediate ceasefire, which will take effect upon mutual agreement by both parties, and the release of all remaining Israeli captives by Hamas within 72 hours of Israel’s acceptance. Additionally, Israel has agreed to release approximately 250 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences and around 1,700 individuals detained since the start of the conflict. The United States will play a central role in facilitating direct negotiations between Israel and Palestine to address broader issues and ensure the sustainability of peace efforts.

While Hamas has not formally accepted the plan, reports indicate a willingness on their part to release Israeli hostages if Israel agrees to halt hostilities and meet other outlined conditions. President Trump described the development as a “historic day for peace,” emphasizing the potential for an enduring resolution in the Middle East. Netanyahu acknowledged the plan’s alignment with Israel’s objectives, marking a notable shift in his stance and signaling a possible turning point in the long-running conflict.
