“Natasha Offered Me N200m to Accuse Akpabio of Organ Harvesting” – US-Based Activist Dr. Sandra Duru Alleges
A U.S.-based activist and media personality, Dr. Sandra Duru—popularly known as Professor Mgbeke—has alleged that suspended Nigerian senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, offered her N200 million to falsely accuse Senate President Godswill Akpabio of organ harvesting and tie him to the death of a young girl.
During a Facebook Live broadcast on Thursday night, Dr. Duru presented what she described as call logs and WhatsApp messages between herself and Akpoti-Uduaghan. She claimed these communications contradicted Natasha’s earlier statements denying any contact with her and revealed a calculated plot to smear Akpabio after her sexual harassment accusations allegedly failed to gain traction.
Dr. Duru stated that she had submitted recordings and evidence of their conversations to relevant authorities in the U.S. and other international jurisdictions for forensic investigation. She also said she had petitioned global security agencies, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), calling for a thorough probe into the senator’s claims and her alleged knowledge of the 2021 death of a young woman, Iniobong Umoren.
According to Duru, Akpoti-Uduaghan disclosed during their exchanges that she lacked any actual evidence of sexual harassment and allegedly admitted that her efforts were politically motivated. “She said the real issue isn’t Akpabio—it’s about stopping the so-called Yoruba government from going beyond four years,” Duru claimed, further alleging that Natasha had been promised either the governorship of Kogi State or a ministerial position if she could succeed in ousting the Senate President.
Dr. Duru criticized Akpoti-Uduaghan’s character during the over hour-long livestream, describing her as “unteachable” and “morally lacking,” and accusing her of attempting to “destroy men” and misleading young women who look up to her. She also alleged that Natasha referred to Nigerians as “G and H – gullible and hungry” in a conversation and labeled Dr. Oby Ezekwesili a “useful idiot.”
Duru reiterated that no evidence exists linking Akpabio to organ harvesting or sexual misconduct, citing the autopsy of Umoren which reportedly found no such indication. She demanded that Natasha be made to explain what she knows about the young woman’s death, having allegedly kept silent for years.
