MultiChoice Announces Reduced Prize Money for BBNaija 9 Winner
MultiChoice Nigeria has unveiled the grand prize for the upcoming 2024 edition of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), revealing that the winner will walk away with N100 million and a brand new SUV.
The announcement was made by Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, during a press briefing in Lagos on Tuesday. Tejumola highlighted that the new season is set to premiere on Sunday, July 28, at 7 pm WAT across all Africa Magic channels.
This year’s prize reflects a reduction of N20 million from the N120 million awarded in the previous season won by Ilebaye Odiniya in October 2023.
Tejumola emphasized the excitement surrounding the upcoming season, promising viewers “shocking twists, explosive drama, and alliances that will keep you guessing.”
Auditions for BBNaija 9 began on March 27 and concluded on May 4, with organizers teasing a season filled with “double drama, relationships, and huge competition” as participants will compete in pairs.
