Tinubu’s Aide Appoints Popular Hausa Skit Maker Umar Bush as Special Assistant on Entertainment
Umar Dan Kawu, widely known by his stage name ‘Umar Bush,’ has been appointed as the Special Assistant on Entertainment to Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa. Hon. Isa holds the position of Senior Special Assistant to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities.
Umar Bush, celebrated for his humorous skits and significant following, received his appointment through an official letter, reference number SSAP/SNEO/24/VOL.1/464. The letter, titled “Appointment As Special Assistant On Entertainment,” detailed his new role which includes overseeing media promotion, improving public relations, and leading entertainment initiatives for the office.
The appointment takes effect from July 10, 2024, for an initial term of two years, with the possibility of renewal based on Umar Bush’s performance.
