Man Sets Wife Ablaze for Giving Birth to Three Daughters
A 32-year-old man, Kundlik Uttam Kale has set his wife ablaze following repeated disputes over the birth of their third daughter. The event, which unfolded on the night of December 26, 2024, in Gangakhed Naka, approximately 520 kilometers from Mumbai, India, was captured on CCTV.
According to a police report based on a complaint filed by the victim’s sister, the accused frequently argued with his wife, Maina, blaming her for the birth of three daughters. During one such altercation, Kale doused Maina with petrol and set her on fire.
Neighbors rushed to her aid as she ran from the house engulfed in flames, but despite their efforts, Maina succumbed to severe burn injuries while being transported to the hospital.
The Gangakhed police have arrested Kale, charging him with murder. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.
