Man in Nasarawa Commits Suicide After Allegedly Discovering Wife was ‘Sleeping’ with His Friends for Money

A 38-year-old man, Gabriel Iliya Magaji, has reportedly took his own life following allegations of his wife’s infidelity.

Magaji’s lifeless body was found hanging in a classroom at Crystal School, Masaka, early Monday morning. The discovery has left the local community in shock, with many questioning the events that led to his untimely death.

The Nasarawa State Police Command confirmed the incident through its Public Relations Officer, DSP Nansel Ramhan. In a statement, DSP Ramhan said, “A report was lodged by a staff member of Crystal School Masaka around 7 AM, informing us that an unidentified man was found hanging in one of the classrooms. The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) responded swiftly, and the body was taken to the General Hospital in Mararaba, where he was declared dead by medical personnel.”

The police have since launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding Magaji’s death, though no suicide note was found at the scene.

However, a source close to the situation revealed that Magaji may have been driven to suicide after discovering that his wife had been engaging in extramarital affairs with his friends for money. According to the source, Magaji’s wife allegedly confessed to having relations with his friends in order to provide for the family, as she claimed her husband could not afford to support them.

The revelation has further deepened the mystery surrounding Magaji’s tragic demise, as community members and law enforcement await the results of the ongoing investigation.

The body of the deceased has been deposited in the morgue, while authorities continue their efforts to uncover the full story behind this heartbreaking event.
